Content: how does an SEO-first approach affect UX? [WhatMarketersDo Podcast] With Chris Holton, WhatUsersDo Growth Marketing Manager
Host: Tom “Dr GreenTom” Lloyd (Head of Marketing)
Guest: Chris “Hotlon Bling” Holton (Growth Marketing)
Guest: Timi “Big Papa Timi” Olotu (Content)
Facilitator: OJ “Reverse Jo” Quevedo (Social Media)
Only a couple of months ago, Chris and I (Timi) were regularly having very heated debates.
The cause? We disagreed on what the approach to creating content for WhatUsersDo should be. It came down to this, “How important a role should SEO play when creating content?”
I won’t try to paraphrase our arguments in here, because that will inevitably do neither side justice – but you can listen to both sides above.
In the end, we concluded that we both have the same goal – to offer our users the best experience possible. The only discussion was concerning the best way of achieving that.
